Happy belated Thanksgiving to those of you who celebrate, I do, I had a very nice time. I hung up my Christmas lights this Weekend, once Thanksgiving is over, it's full steam ahead with Christmas. Next Weekend, I am planning on picking up the Tree.
Talking about Christmas, the one Christmas Event I am a part of this Year is the SL Christmas Expo 2017. The Reason I favor SL Christmas Expo is portions of money earned by content Designers on Exclusive Christmas Expo 2017 items goes to Relay for Life. Don't know what Relay for Life is, it is the signature event of the American Cancer Society and has been active, and continually growing in Second Life for 13 years. In 2005, the first Relay For Life of Second Life (RFL of SL) was attended by a few hundred avatars and raised almost $5,000 US dollars for the American Cancer Society. As of July 2014 RFL of SL ranks number 17th out of 5000 teams world wide in donations received. We have brought in more than $3 million US dollars to help with the fight against cancer. How super awesome is that?
SL Christmas Expo 2017 officially opens next Friday, December 1st, and runs through December 10th. I will try my best to blog a few items from the Event. You'll see one Exclusive Winter Scene Lilliana is Posing in front of. The SIM is not open to the public yet, as soon as the Event Opens, I will update the link to where you can find the Scene, for now check out SL Christmas Expo's Website for all information on the Event for now.
SL Christmas Expo is not the only Event I will be talking about Today.
